Hermes Oran Sandals: Pros, Cons, and Affordable Dupes

Hermes Oran sandals have become a staple in many fashion-forward wardrobes. Not only do they have a simple design, but they are also elegant and have a timeless appeal that makes them a versatile addition to any outfit. However, as expected with anything Hermes, the Oran sandals come with a price tag that can reach up to thousands of dollars and may not be within everyone’s budget. In this blog post, we will explore the pros and cons of Hermes Oran sandals and suggest some affordable dupes.

Hermes Oran Sandals

Pros of Hermes Oran Sandals:

  1. Quality and Craftsmanship

Hermes is known for its exceptional quality and craftsmanship, and the Oran sandals are no exception. The leather used in making the sandals is of high quality, and the sandals are handmade by skilled artisans, resulting in a well-crafted product.

  1. Comfort

The Oran sandals are designed to provide comfort, with their soft leather insole and adjustable strap. They are perfect for all-day wear, and their classic design makes them easy to dress up or down.

  1. Timeless Appeal

The Oran sandals have a simple yet elegant design that has remained popular for many years. We see them in the top trending sandals year after year and we don’t anticipate this changing anytime soon. They have a timeless appeal that makes them a versatile addition to any outfit.

  1. Durability

The quality of Hermes Oran sandals is high as they are made of box calfskin leather, a high-grade leather known to be the oldest one used in Hermes bags. They are sturdy and of superior quality – and many users have claimed that their Hermes Oran sandals have held up nicely over years.

Cons of Hermes Oran Sandals:

  1. Price

The biggest drawback of Hermes Oran sandals is their price as is expected with the Hermes luxury brand. They are undeniably a high-end item and range from mid $600 up to thousands of dollars, making them much more expensive than many of us would like to spend.

  1. Limited Availability

Hermes Oran sandals are not always easy to find. Their rise in popularity over the years causes them to sell out often and have limited availability, which unfortunately, this can make it difficult to get your hands on a pair. Currently, a new pair of Hermes Oran sandals can only be purchased at the official Hermes website or at Hermes boutiques, but you can also try to snag a used pair of these classic sandals on Fashionphile, the Luxury Closet, the Real Real, or Vestiaire Collective.

Are the Hermes Oran Sandals worth it?

Considering all of these points, if you have the budget for these sandals – they are definitely worth the purchase. The Hermes Oran sandals are of superior quality and a timeless piece that you will be able to wear for years to come and get your money’s worth. However, if the Oran sandals are not within your budget, then I would recommend opting for affordable alternatives that will give you the similar look for much less.

Affordable Alternatives or Dupes:

  1. Steven by Steve Madden Haydn Slides

The Steven Haydn Sandals are a great alternative to Hermes Oran sandals as they have a very similar design. They are also much more affordable, with a price tag under $80.

  1. Sam Edelman Bay Slides

The Sam Edelman Bay Slide Sandals are another affordable option. Their design features the Sam Edelman logo while still offering a sleek & chic style. They are priced at around $100-$120.

  1. French Sole Exclusive Leather Alibi Sandals

The French Sole Exclusive Leather Alibi Sandals may be the pricier dupes listed here with a price tag of around $150, but these sandals are probably the closest in design to the Hermes Oran sandals. With a cushioned footbed, customers claim these sandals are very comfortable after breaking in the first couple times wearing them.

As an owner of the French Sole Exclusive Leather Alibi Sandals, I can confirm that the sandals were a bit stiff the first two wears (luckily, I didn’t get any blisters) but have since become much more comfortable!

  1. Amazon Dupes

There are many Hermes Oran sandals dupes available on Amazon, including a very similar dupe from the Amazon exclusive brand, The Drop, and another sandal from Amazon’s own line, Amazon Essentials. Priced at $35 and under, these are very affordable options.

The Drop Women’s Monika Flat H-Band Slide Sandal

Overall, while Hermes Oran sandals are undoubtedly beautiful and of high quality, they may not be within everyone’s budget. Fortunately, there are many affordable alternatives and dupes available that offer a similar design and style and will allow you to still achieve a chic and stylish look.
